WHEN it comes to a reference near field Monitor nothing beats the ProAc Response 1 SC. Sure, my long term favourites were my 15 Ohm Rogers LS35/A until ProAc upped the ante and released the Response 1 SC a couple of years ago.
Since then I've had several pairs in my reviewing room and loved my time with each one.
Here's a compact near field monitor with a balanced sound from top to bottom and one that's compatible with a huge range of tube and SS amps.
Unlike my LS35/As, the ProAc is more dynamic and has greater levels of transparency. Side-by-side, the ProAc digs deeper in the bass, has a more forgiving treble and a greater capacity to handle music'sdynamic contrasts.
In short, the ProAc Response 1SC is the speaker LS35/A owners crave without knowing it.
