Powerful bass from tiny cabinets has never looked so good. The SPL-Ultra Series features a contoured cabinet design and beautiful high-gloss, black piano lacquer finish. The SPL-Ultra Series also features a front panel interactive display. Each time you press a button on the included remote control, the results are displayed on the front panel. Adjust volume, select one of the four customized listening presets, correct phase, turn on or off the front LED, or limit the output for late night listening. Never again will you have to get up and reach behind your subwoofer to adjust for each different source. on my recent purchase of the Velodyne SPL-1500R in cherry.
I had 'auditioned' a number of brands including 'highly recommended' brands
such as Whatmough-Whise's Impulse and Impact models.
At reference levels I had these clipping, crackling and distorting badly,
they were dropped from the list.
The Velodyne SPL-1500R had no such issues, was rock solid at similar and
louder levels, it was purchased.
Despite supply issues from the US with the cherry unit (wife acceptance
factor), you negotiated the loan of a black unit with the local importer W C
Wedderspoon until the correct one arrived.
You also arranged the sale by consignment on commission of my old receiver
and subwoofer.
