Screen Goo In Sydney Museum Australia
Screen Goo in Sydney Museum Australia
Grand Opening Wednesday, March 19, 2008
6 College St Sydney CBD Australia
Making an appearance at the launch of the Australian Museum Eureka Prizes was a 22 metre, long-necked plant eater called Jobia. Also at the launch was the Hon Frank Sartor MP, Minister for the Arts, a 228 million year old Eoraptor, a Tyrannosaurus rex and 200 invited guests (of the human variety).
Guests sipped champagne, mingled amongst ancient predators and enjoyed state-of-the-art displays that brought prehistoric worlds back to life in the Australian Museum's brand new Dinosaurs exhibition.
"What a great way to kick off the Eureka year" said Frank Howarth, Director of the Australian Museum. "The new Dinosaurs exhibition and the Australian Museum Eureka Prizes are two major highlights for the Australian Museum this year. It's great to celebrate them together!"
Far from extinction is the Australian Museum Eureka Prizes, which has grown in size and stature to become Australia's premier science awards. The 2008 series sees 20 prizes worth over $200,000 on offer.

New exhibition now open. Discover how they lived, died… and survived
Encounter an amazing array of dinosaurs in this exciting new exhibition at the Australian Museum!
The world of dinosaurs is brought to life with skeletons, life-size recreated models, skulls, teeth, claws and hundreds of other fossils. Learn how new discoveries and latest technology are changing our understanding of these fascinating creatures.
In an impressive line-up of stars you will meet some old dinosaur favourites such as Stegosaurus and Tyrannosaurus rex and see for the first time in Australia the 228 million year old Eoraptor; the bird-like Bambiraptor; and the amazing Jobaria – a 22m long sauropod (long-necked plant eater) rearing to a whopping 10m. Feathered dinosaurs from China, the intimidating Chasmosaurus with massive frill and horn, and the bizarre Cryolophosaurus all make an appearance.
This exhibition also offers a fascinating insight into dinosaurs found in our own backyard. Australian highlights include a skeleton of the 7m long plant-eating Muttaburrasaurus; a life-size model of Minmi - an armored dinosaur from Queensland and the Australian Museum's own unique opalised fossil collection. A recreated scene from Australia's ancient past tells the story of a deadly encounter between a small herbivorous dinosaur and two hungry carnivores, played out under spectacular polar lights.
Relive the fear, panic and drama of a dinosaur stampede in a life-size animation. This dramatic scene took place on the shores of a lake in Queensland 95 million years ago when a large carnivore stalked a group of herbivores and started a stampede.
Sharpen your paleontology skills in the working lab where real fossil material will be on display alongside the tools of the trade. Follow the journey of our Centrosaurus fossils from the badlands of Canada into the Dinosaur exhibition where they are now being excavated and prepared for display.
Dinosaurs is a must see for dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages – only at the Australian Museum.
Don't miss visiting the exhibition (15 March 2008 until 8 June 2008) for your chance to win a family holiday to Canada!

Right side Screen Goo Wall : 12m x 6m
How much do I need?
The Topcoat and Basecoat work together; both are required to create a screen. Topcoat and Basecoat coverage per sq. ft. can vary somewhat, depending on the surface conditions. 1 liter (just slightly more than a US Quart in volume) will typically cover approximately 50 sq. ft. with two thin coats, under ideal conditions on an ideal non-absorptive surface. Starting with a primed white surface is strongly recommended for peak performance.
This kit includes everything you need to create your own high end screen up to 3.0m wide (subject to painter skill)!
- 1 Base Coat
- 1 Top Coat
- 1 Black Border Paint
- 1 Roll Black Border Felt
- 1 Roller Frame
- 1 Roller tray
- 2 Quality Roller Sleeves

BUY AN EXPERIENCE NOT A BOX
Few people have the time to research and evaluate all the hardware choices. It's smarter to focus on the end result and make your choices based upon overall performance and value.

Testimonial from Screen Goo Canada
Australian Goo Dealer, Livingstone Audio, Lights Up The Australian Museum!
Livingstone Audio, of Blackburn South, Australia, one of our first (and still one of our best!) Screen Goo dealers, recently completed a unique project at The Australian Museum in beautiful Sydney, Australia. The Museum's new Dinosaurs Exhibit features a former exterior wall which has been converted into dinosaur-sized sized, 12m x 6m video projection screen, created with an application of Screen Goo Reference White coatings.
While the dinosaurs themselves are of course the main attraction, the video projected on the new screen contributes greatly to creating an environment and context which deepens visitors' appreciation for these awe-inspiring prehistoric creatures.
Rumours of after-hour screenings of “Jurassic Park” remain unconfirmed!
Congratulations and a hearty “thanks mate!” to Alex Leong of Livingstone Audio for a unique job, beautifully done. Please keep up the excellent work
Goo Systems would like to remind museum and educational facility managers and A/V professionals that all Screen Goo coatings carry ASTM certifications for non-toxicity and fire safety and that all Screen Goo coatings meet or exceed LEED certification standards for low levels of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds).
Thank You and Kind Regards,
